If you own an eSIM version of Orange Holiday, you can scan it with your phone as soon as you received it by mail. It will only become active once connected to the European cellular network.
Your SIM card is valid for 14 days from the moment of its activation, meaning from the moment the SIM card has been inserted into your phone and that it starts using the cellular network.
If you own the eSIM version of Orange Holiday, the validity of the eSIM is the same, 14 days from the moment you start using the cellular network. During these 14 days, you must identify yourself at Orange.fr.
Yes, mobile hotspot sharing is possible just like with a regular SIM/eSIM.
The SIM format is a classic SIM card compatible with all smartphones. However, you can purchase a digital SIM card (eSIM) on travel.orange.com but please note that only specific phones are compatible with eSIM technology (see next question). If your smartphone can handle eSIM you will only have to scan the QR code received by email and you'll be connected as soon as you land in Europe.
